I really
enjoyed training with Melanie, and I really appreciate her wonderful
training program and her caring personality. In February2010, I
injured my knee during a basketball game and I was not able to play
again for 5 months. In June 2010, I was able to start defensive
training and so I joined her basketball drills with an intense desire
to get back on the court as quickly as possible.
Once a
week we did agility training using ladder, medicine ball, ball, and
stairs. She pushed me to improve and when my knee was sore, she
changed the program a little to continue to improve my strength and
conditioning. Since she was once a university athlete, she understood
how much I wanted to get back on the court. For 3 weeks in August, I
was not able to train with her. However she gave me a special agility
training program and weight training program that I could do on my
own.
Melanie
helped me improve my knee strength to the point that I was able to
try out for the Dalhousie Tigers basketball team at Dalhousie
University in Nova Scotia. During the tryout, we had a 5 km run up
and down hills, short run, agility test, and basketball skill drill.
My knee held up great! To make a long story short, I was able to
become part of the team.
I really
don’t think I would have had this success without Melanie’s help.
Thank
you so much Mel.

Melanie is a great teacher when it comes to teaching basketball skills. She has been working with me over the past two years, she is a dedicated teacher, she spends time going the extra way. One of the reasons I went to see melanie was to improve my speed, outside shooting and foul shots. All three have improved immensely.
Thank you Melanie

College Wesmen Women's Basketball Team
Over the course of the summer, my college Wesmen women's basketball team and I had the opportunity to train with Melanie Talastas. We worked on a variety of different drills ranging from agility to plyometrics to conditioning.
Once season started up again in the fall I had already began
to notice a significant improvement in my defensive play. I was able to be more
responsive and my fast twitch muscles had strengthened giving me the
opportunity to be more efficient defensively.
I would strongly recommend training with Mel Talastas
because she assures great results!
