What type of Athlete are you?

As an athlete growing up, you learn about your teammates and their personalities. I have played team sports for 20 years and let me tell you what I’ve learn.

There are three types of Athletes:
1.       Talented and laid back: These types of athletes are so amazing to watch. So talented that you     wish you can handle the ball like them, pass the ball like them and jump as high as they can. They have skills and it comes naturally. Lucky them.

2.       Hard-working and mediocre: These athletes are the ones you see at practice and games who try their hardest to perform but their skills are slow to develop. But because they work hard, they can get to where they want to be.

3.       Hard-working and talented: These athletes are very fortunate to have these amazing traits. If you are talented and skilled enough to be an elite athlete and on top of that you work hard no matter what challenges go your way, you are unstoppable!

So, what type of athlete are you? Define who you are, define your strength and your weaknesses. Once my coach told me, "maintain your strength and work on your weaknesses," Coach Tanya McKay (University of Winnipeg Head Coach).

Happy practice players!
